Board of Trustees Meeting

June 18, 2015

The meeting was called to order by Pat Beiermann, President.

 

Present:                  Pat Beiermann, Loren Gunderson, Ruthann Hellemeyer, Felicia Kohlberg, Trish Stemmley, Susan Yeager

Absent:                  Jason Pierce

Also present:         Kevin McRae, Bookkeeper; Mary Brewster, Library Director.

 

The minutes of the meeting of May 21, 2015 were approved as written.

Motion 1:  It was moved by Yeager and seconded by Stemmley that bills in the amount of $62,067.39 be paid.

                Nayes:   none

The Financial report was presented by Kevin McRae, Bookkeeper. (See File)

Motion 2:  It was moved by Gunderson and seconded by Yeager to use the tax bill method for determining the fee for nonresident’s library cards.

Motion 3:  It was moved by Hellemeyer and seconded by Stemmley to set the time and place of meetings – 3rd Thursday at 7 pm at Bethalto Public Library, 321 S. Prairie St., Bethalto – with Ordinance 2015-1.

                Ayes:      Beiermann, Gunderson, Hellemeyer, Kohlberg, Stemmley, Yeager

                Nayes:   none

                Absent:  Pierce

Motion 4:  It was moved by Gunderson and seconded by Hellemeyer to approve Ordinance 2015-2, the resolution of determination of prevailing wage rates.

                Ayes:      Beiermann, Gunderson, Hellemeyer, Kohlberg, Stemmley, Yeager

                Nayes:   none

After reviewing closed session minutes it has been determined that the need for confidentiality still exists for those dealing with personnel issues.

Motion 5:  It was moved by Beiermann and seconded by Gunderson to destroy the verbatim recordings of the closed session meetings on March 25, 2005, November 20, 2008, May 21, 2009, September 17, 2009, and May 16, 2013 as more than18 months have passed and written records exist.

Motion 6:  It was moved by Stemmley and seconded by Hellemeyer to open the minutes of March 25, 2005 closed session.

Designated the Little House phone, building insurance, and 10% of cleaning services as Health & Safety expenses and reclassified these expenses in FY 2015 to the Liability Insurance Fund.

 

Health Insurance for FY 2016 will remain the same.
