AARP Tax Preparation

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free, individualized tax preparation for low- to moderate-income taxpayers – especially those 50 and older.

AARP volunteers will be available to prepare taxes on Wednesdays, February 1st through April 5th as a drop off mode of service by appointment only.

You will drop off your paperwork at the appointed time. Please park behind the library and go up the wooden ramp into the Little House to give your paperwork to the AARP volunteer. (The door under the carport will not be available for entry.)

The AARP volunteer will then schedule a pick up time with you for the afternoon of the same day.

Before your appointment day, you will need to pick up an AARP packet of papers, complete the forms inside, and bring this with you along with your tax documents to the appointment. These packets can be picked up through the Library’s curbside service any day of the week. To print the AARP packet from home, click here. Remember to look view the "What To Bring" section.

If the you have a tax related question, please leave a message for AARP volunteer Joe Brewster at (618) 259-7618 before your appointment day. He will call you back in the next 48 hours.

Call us at 618-377-8141 to schedule an appointment.
